《栄町社交街》と呼ばれ、高齢の娼婦が春をひさぐ色街がある。夜になれば〝旅館〟の赤色灯のネオンが路地を照らし男を誘う。戦後、ひめゆり学徒の学び舎は米軍のゴミ捨て場となり、娼婦が集うことで誕生した栄町社交街。扉の隙間から見える高齢の娼婦は男たちに微笑みかける。時代に消えゆく旅館の玄関で、娼婦は今日も客を待つ。

There is a red-light district called “Sakaemachi Social District” where elderly prostitutes spend the spring. At night, the red neon lights of the ryokan illuminate the alleys and invite men. After the war, the Himeyuri students’ school became a dumping ground for the U.S. military, and the Sakaemachi social district was born when prostitutes gathered. An elderly prostitute seen through the gap in the door smiles at the men. At the entrance of a ryokan that is disappearing with the times, the prostitute waits for customers today.
